LeShae Monroe Is Building Her Own Stage
The Atlanta R&B singer-songwriter isn't waiting for a cosign — she's producing her own live show, developing other artists, and studying the business at the same time.
ATLANTA — Some artists wait for the phone to ring. LeShae Monroe builds the room herself.
The Atlanta singer-songwriter, who bills herself as an "R&B Rockstar" and "Hip-Hop Storyteller," is the founder of LeShae Monroe Entertainment — and on November 9, she headlines Indie Vybes Live at SAE Institute Atlanta, performing with a live band. As she put it in her announcement: "Real vocals. Real instruments. Real energy."
That last detail matters. Monroe is also a student at SAE Institute, the audio and creative media school — meaning she'll take the stage at the very place she's learning the craft behind the boards. And in a move that tells you everything about how she operates, she's not just headlining: she's holding auditions for background vocalists, opening her own stage to other singers coming up behind her.
Songs from the soul
Monroe's sound lives where alternative R&B meets hip-hop storytelling — her own description of the work is simple: "Songs from the soul." Her writing carries it. "Soft heart. Heavy pen," she captioned one portrait. Another post reads like a mission statement: "Some people climb ladders. I build staircases."
Her pen is as personal as it is poetic. In her posts she writes openly about the balancing act behind the music — being a mother, a businesswoman, and a student — and about a hard season of loss and rebuilding that sharpened her resolve. Give her "a mic, some music, a room full of people," she wrote, and "I just get to be LeShae."
Bigger than her own career
Monroe moves like an institution-builder. She's part of The Unmuted Club, an artist-development community for singers, where the content she shares is coaching, not flexing — breaking down stage presence, breath control, and vocal stamina for other performers. She has also hosted rooms for Atlanta creatives alongside MMXIX Studios and 1BeatBurner, billed with a line that could be her whole philosophy: "No gatekeeping. Just vibes & opportunity."
The industry is starting to notice — VoyageATL Magazine recently featured her story. In her words, "the work is speaking... but trust me, we're still in the EARLY chapters."
