Street Fighter: Not Great But Not Bad At All

🎬 BELTLINE NEWS FILM REVIEW: STREET FIGHTER
Rating: 7/10 — Entertaining

We caught Street Fighter yesterday, and here's the honest truth: it's a good time.

Does it reinvent the video game movie? No. Does it need to? Also no. The fights hit hard, the characters look like they walked straight out of the arcade, and the energy never really lets up. Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Bison, Blanka, Balrog — the roster shows up and shows out, and fans of the games are going to eat it up.

It's not perfect. The story takes a backseat to the spectacle, and a few moments lean cheesy. But it's the kind of cheesy that works when you're in a packed theater and everybody's hyped.

Verdict: If you grew up on the games — or you just want an entertaining night at the movies — this delivers. 7 out of 10. Go see it, have fun, don't overthink it.
